In 10th grade Language Arts, we did a project called, "I Am Who I Am" project. In this project, we had to create a poem about ourselves and who we are using types of figerative langauge we learned/reviewed in class (mataphors, similies, paradox, and hyperboles) to show who we are in a comparison of a totally unrelated thing, yet not to different. We made many drafts in which were revised and edited to improve to make better. Each day we had mini-lessons so we can have a more genuine knowledgeof what to includeand write in our poem. Eachg line had to start out as "I am (a)...." and a noun or adjectivedescribing who we are. We involved the other five of our classes in this project based on their subject.
